EAST TEXAS (KYTX) -- A Longview man is behind bars, accused of running into a DPS trooper during a chase.

DPS says a trooper was trying to stop 18-year-old Lucas Stevens for reckless driving last night in Gregg County when Stevens took off.

DPS says Stevens hit the trooper's unit in the process.

He's facing multiple charges including aggravated assault and evading arrest and is being held on a $173,000 bond.
