Crews respond to grass fire in Chapel Hill - KYTX CBS 19 Tyler Longview News Weather Sports

UPDATE (3:44 pm) -- Officials say it was a controlled burn that got out of hand when winds began to pick up. The owner of the residence called the fire department.

The fire is contained.

CHAPEL HILL (KYTX) -- Chapel Hill Volunteer Fire Department along with Arp Volunteer Fire Department are fighting a grass fire near 13716 in Smith County.

The fire covers about a half-acre and scanner traffic does say some homes are threaten.

A tanker truck is headed to the scene as well.
