TYLER (KYTX) - July 4th is synonymous with bar-be-que, the stars and stripes and fireworks.
And we know thousands of East Texans took their turn and watched big shows.
More than 7,000 people pulled up a chair and caught the fireworks display tonight at Lindsey Park.
It just ended, and now it's time to head home, but it was quite the view just minutes ago.
There were about 600 shells in the whole program, with more than 150 of those popping off during the finale.
The show is electronic, which means everything is set up prior to ignition, making it safer for those handling the gunpowder.
But it really comes down to what you see light up the sky.
So while the show finished up and people started packing up, it was another big show in the books for the Tyler Jaycees.
And now it just comes down to the clean up, after an event to celebrate the land of the free for another year and all it's heritage.
The Jaycees began piecing the show together in May, and worked tirelessly today for more than 12 hours to make the show memorable.
