Pregnant woman, two others hospitalized in Longview accident

Posted: Updated:

A pregnant mother goes to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash today.

It happened at McCann and Highway 80 just before two this afternoon in Longview.

Police say a car ran a red light, hitting a mini-van that carried the pregnant mother and two other children.

The woman's husband was not in the vehicle but he was called to the scene shortly after the crash.

"I got a call... the first thought was the children. My wife is pregnant with our third child and two young children in the back," says Jordan Johnson, husband and father of those in the accident. "The first thought was them and their safety. It's the call you never want to get."

Police say two people inside the car were also hospitalized. No word tonight on how badly they were hurt.
