UPDATE (KYTX) -- The mom, Lisa Saine, is still in critical condition tonight.

Her surgery last night was successful, but she is still sedated.

Their 11-year-old son, Maverick, is in a Denver hospital with two broken legs but will be transferred to the same hospital as his mom sometime this week.

We told you yesterday that 2-year-old Matthew Saine died in the accident, when his car seat was thrown from the car.

GLENDO (THE BILLINGS GAZETTE, BILLINGS, MT) - A 2-year-old Texas boy died near Glendo when the sport utility vehicle in which he was riding rolled.

Townsend said in a news release that Lisa Saine, 42, from Tyler, Texas, was driving a Ford Excursion that was pulling a 34-foot camping trailer northbound on Interstate 25 at 12:20 p.m. when the crash happened.

As Saine tried to pass a semitrailer, the camper began to fishtail and she lost control of the SUV.

It went into the median, separated from trailer and rolled multiple times before coming to a rest on its wheels in the southbound lanes.

Matthew Saine, 2 and also from Tyler, was in a child seat at the time and both he and the seat were thrown from the SUV as it rolled. He died at the scene, Townsend said.

Lisa Saine was taken to the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper to be treated for injuries. Maverick Saine, 11, was taken to a Denver hospital to be treated for injuries; David Saine, 43; Malachi Saine, 7; Nicolai Saine, 8; and Angelica Saine, 4, were all wearing seatbelts and not injured in the crash, Townsend said in the release.

All were from Tyler, Texas.

Townsend said the highway patrol is investigating why the child seat was thrown from the SUV as it rolled.
