Daingerfield Police Department:
DAINGERFIELD (KYTX) - Daingerfield Police Chief Tracey Climer is seeking information leading to the arrest of the persons involved in an attempted robbery that occurred April 15 at 12:45 a.m. at the Texas Heritage National Bank in Daingerfield.
Authorities received a call from a manager at McDonald's who reported that she was held by gunpoint at the drive through at the Texas Heritage National Bank in Daingerfield," Chief Climer said. "The manager said she got out of her car, deposited the bag, and turned around and got back in the car when two black males came around the corner with a gun. Another employee had pulled up behind her and when she started getting back in her car, the first male walked up to him and told him to be quiet.
"As soon as that man walked off, the second employee backed out of the drive through and left. He was young and scared to death. The other black male came from the front of the drive through and both men met the manager at the drop box. When they realized the bag had been deposited, they ran north on Lamar Street."
Crimestoppers will pay a reward up to $500 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of these men, according to Chief Climer. In addition, Chief Climer said there is possible an additional $500 anonymous reward offered to go along with the Crimestoppers' reward.
"The two men were dressed in black, and the video from the bank appears they had some type of stocking or toboggan on their heads," Chief Climer said.
