TYLER (KYTX) -- A Tyler Junior College English professor drowns in Dallas over the weekend.

55-Year-old Joe Cunningham's body was found at White Rock Lake. Dallas police say Cunningham and his 21-year-old son lost their paddle boards when a storm hit.

The son was able to swim back to shore. Cunningham's funeral will take place at Stewart Funeral home at 2 pm Friday in Tyler.
