East Texas Pump Jacks closing pitcher Jason Jester is one of the reasons the team clinched the first half of its season on July 1st. After 29 games, the Pump Jacks held a record of 23 and 6.
Jester, a former Hallsville bobcat, has struck out 28 battlers and walked two in 19 innings. He also has 12 saves, just one away from the league's record in a single season. Jester is home for the summer and will return to play for Texas A&M this fall.
