After three rehab starts with Triple-A Birmingham, Chicago White Sox pitcher Phillip Humber is ready to return to his team.
The former Carthage Bulldog is recovering from a right elbow flexor sprain. In his third rehab start, Humber allowed one run on two hits over six innings. He also threw 48 of 78 pitches for strikes.
He will return to the White Sox rotation on Tuesday, in Game 2 of Chicago's series against the Red Sox in Boston.
Back in April, the East Texas native pitched the 21st perfect game in MLB history against the Seattle Mariners.
