Released by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office

EAST TEXAS -- The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for a 23-year-old St Martin Parish resident who is believed to be harboring a 16 year old run-away from the Duson area. Investigators have established that Coy James Borel has provided refuge for his 16-year-old girlfriend Lexy Jones who is reported as missing. Investigators confirm that prior to leaving her home on June 21, 2012 the teen had a dispute with her parents. Some telephone contact with teen confirms that she is not in immediate distress though she is believed to be in the company of Borel who is wanted for three charges in Lafayette Parish.

Borel and Jones are believed to be in the Henderson or Cecilia areas of St Martin Parish and could be in Borel's 1996 Red Dodge pickup truck bearing Louisiana License Plate S785257.

A photo of Borel is attached as well as a missing person's bulletin on Jones.

Anyone with information can contact Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 337 232-8477 TIPS or your local police.
