Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office:
VAN ZANDT COUNTY (KYTX) - On Tuesday July 18th, 2012, the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office Investigators, along with the Canton Police Department, Department of Public Safety and the Constable of Precinct #4 responded to a theft in progress that had occurred on Highway 64 in the Myrtle Springs Community.
The Dispatcher on duty advised the responding Officers that a light blue four door car with two males and a female had just left the property with items after being confronted by a witness.
Responding deputies observed a car matching that description and made contact with the suspects who were identified as David Alan Campbell, Mary Toland and Shawn Nunez all of Grand Saline.
The property taken was recovered and returned to the owner.
All three suspects were placed into custody and are currently being held at the Van Zandt County Justice Center and are awaiting arraignment on a charge of Theft $500<$1,500.
Toland was arrested in December of 2011 for Theft of Precious Metals.
Campbell was arrested in September of 2011 for Theft of Material Alum/Brnze/Copper/Brass <$20K and again in October of 2011for Theft $500<$1,500.
Additional charges may be pending after further investigation.
