"Billy the Exterminator," wife plead not guilty to drug charges

Reality show star, "Billy the Exterminator, and his wife pleaded not guilty to drug charges today in a Bossier Parish court.

The television star, whose real name is William Bretherton and his wife, Mary, are charged with possession of synthetic marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The couple was arrested in late August after police responded to a 9-1-1 hangup call at the Courtyard by Marriott at the Louisiana Boardwalk.

Officers say the found what appeared to be drugs and a device used to smoke narcotics.

The suspected drugs were analyzed at the Northwest Louisiana Crime Lab and determined to be synthetic marijuana.

The two turned themselves in after learning that an arrest warrant had been issued on the drug charges.

They return to court on September 19.
