EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - For the first time in months, gas prices are up across the state.

According to fuelgaugereport.aaa.com, the average for regular gasoline in Texas is $3.29 a gallon. Nationally, the average for regular fuel is around $3.43 a gallon.

KYTX CBS 19's Anthony Austin finds out why gas prices are going up and how you can save money at the pump tonight at 5 and 6.
