Mushroom and pet safety

(KYTX) - Thanks to all the rain we've been getting, wild mushrooms are sprouting up all over East Texas.

Veterinarians say just like we shouldn't take a chance eating wild mushrooms, they should also be kept away from our pets. Most poisonous mushrooms and non-poisonous mushrooms look alike, so if your pets accidentally eat them, they could die of liver failure.

If your pet is moving slowly, vomiting, or their eyes or gums start to turn yellow, get them help immediately. Those are signs of liver poisoning.
