Four people shot on 6th Street Sunday morning

(KYTX) - The Austin Police Department are investigating a shooting that left four people shot early Sunday morning.

Police said the call came in around 2:30 a.m.  Sunday morning at the 600 block of San Jacinto near 6th street.

The Austin Police Watch Commander said when officers arrived, they found two females with a gunshot wound to their lower bodies. The two women were transported to University Medical Center at Brackenridge with non-life threatening injuries.

Police later found a man with a gunshot wound at 7th Street and IH 35 and he was transported to a local hospital.

Police said another man drove himself to South Austin Hospital with a gunshot wound from the same incident.

The victims all have non-life threatening injuries and are expected to recover.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who was last seen running from the scene and has not been found. Police are reviewing crime cameras in the area and hoping to identify the suspect
