(KYTX) - Oncor is stepping up efforts to restore power to East Texans after last night's storms.

In a press release, Oncor says its brought extra resources to the Lufkin and Jacksonville areas after an isolated thunderstorm caused widespread damage in several East Texas neighborhoods on Saturday night.

Additional restoration resources from Houston, Dallas, Waco, Texoma, Fort Worth and Beaumont have responded to aid in the recovery from this major weather event.
