UPDATE: HENDERSON COUNTY (KYTX) - Jackie Guthrie was transported back to Henderson County from Galveston late Monday.

He was charged with murder, booked into the Henderson County Jail at 10:10 p.m. and is being held on a bond of $2 million.

KYTX - An East Texas man accused of murder and kidnapping -- is scheduled to return to Henderson County today to be arraigned.

Sheriff's investigators say 22-year old Jackie Guthrie got into a fight Thursday night with his ex girlfriend 19 year old Tiffany Hurd. They say he kidnapped her, after fatally shooting her best friend, 18-year-old Chantel Barrett.

Tiffany returned home to her family in Coffee City Saturday morning. Guthrie remains in jail in Galveston.
