Longview Police Department:
LONGVIEW (KYTX) - On July 20, 2012 at 9:41 a.m., officers were dispatched to Kroger, located in the 700 Block of East Marshall Avenue, for a robbery.
When officers arrived they were told a black male had come into the store and taken 2 bags of dog food and 6 cases of beer. When store employees attempted to stop the man he shoved one of the employees to the ground and ran out the door. He was able to reach his truck and drove away with the stolen items.
Police located the man a short time later in the 200 block of Mitchell Street.
The suspect was identified as 44-year-old Ronald O'Keith Beasley of Gilmer.
Beasley was arrested for robbery and transported to the Gregg County Jail.
The store clerk was not seriously injured during the robbery.
