(KCEN) -- After a weekend off to honor victims of the mass Colorado shooting, President Obama and Mitt Romney resumed their presidential campaigns.

A new topic was added to the list of talking points, gun control.

In Aurora, Colo., the President offered words of comfort to the community shaken by tragedy.

And at a fundraiser in San Francisco on July 22, Romney joined President Obama in supporting the people of Aurora.

But today, the political battle is in full force again with gun control as a hot topic.
