SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) - Smith county deputies say a man they caught tonight after a chase kicked out the window of a deputy's truck to escape again.

Deputies caught him off Texas Highway 155 in Dogwood City and kept him from escaping.

Our news partners at the Tyler Paper say it started when he showed a deputy a knife then ran when the deputy pulled him over on Lakeway Harbor Drive. They say he swam in Lake Palestine during the chase.

He won't tell deputies his name.
