MINEOLA (KMOO) - A one-vehicle accident this morning between Golden and Mineola sent an Oklahoma man to a local hospital.

According to DPS, 19-year-old Easton Cardenas was traveling from Oklahoma to Nacogdoches to visit his dad when he veered off of Hwy 69 South, north of CR 2260. The vehicle rolled several times and landed roughly 100 yards from where it left the roadway.

"The driver of the vehicle veered off of the roadway for unknown reasons," said DPS Trooper, SGT. Drabble. "He was pinned in the vehicle and pulled from the vehicle by EMS. He seemed to be conscious and alert."

The Mineola Fire Department also responded to the wreck.

Cardenas was taken to a Tyler hospital for non life-threatening head injuries.
