Jefferson woman jailed after police find forged $100 bill

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Police arrested a 30-year-old Jefferson woman Tuesday on charges of forgery of a financial instrument and theft from a Wal-Mart store in Longview

According to an arrest affidavit, loss prevention authorities at Wal-Mart in the 2400 block of Gilmer Road noticed Roy walking through the store for about three hours, drinking an energy drink she had not paid for and taking other unpaid merchandise out of the store. Once police officers arrived, they found the stolen merchandise and a forged $100 bill in her purse.

Roy remains jailed today at $8,000 bond. She is also being held on a Marion County warrant for possession of a dangerous drug.
