EAST TEXAS (KYTX) -- One East Texas man is in the hospital after his father allegedly hit him with a frying pan.

The son also ended up getting stabbed in the fight.

The Rusk County Sheriff's Office tells CBS 19 this happened around 10:30 last night on County Road 2123.

Investigators say 50-year- old Thomas Anthony Beason hit 27-year-old Tommy Dale Beason with the frying pan and claims the handle broke off and his son ended up falling on it getting stabbed.

Thomas Beason is in the Rusk County Jail on charges of aggravated assault / family violence.

Tommy Dale Beason is in fair condition at Good Shepherd in Longview.
