Longview Police Department has released the names of the victims from the Cloud Nine shooting on July 26th. The victims have been identified as Joshua Pierce 23, of Longview and Adrian Parker 26 of Longview.
LONGVIEW (KYTX) -- Police are investigating a shooting at a Longview nightclub that sent two people to the hospital. CBS 19's Abby Broyles joins us from the Cloud Nine gentleman's club in the 1100 block of Marshall with the latest on the investigation.
Police say two people were shot here outside the nightclub when a fight broke out in the parking lot around 2:00 this morning. You can still see shell casings where the shooting happened. Now two people are in the hospital, while police continue their investigation.
A late night brawl outside the cloud nine nightclub Wednesday night ends with two men shot. Police aren't releasing their names, but they tell us both men were in their 20's.
"Apparently there's been some ongoing confrontation between the individuals involved," Officer Kristie Brian said.
A Longview officer showed up to the club around 2:00am after he heard gunshots.
"We weren't able to locate enough witnesses to know who was actually doing the shooting," Officer Brian said.
One of the men shot was still at the club, and paramedics took him to the hospital. Someone took the second man to the hospital overnight.
Investigators say more than a half dozen rounds were fired, but they still haven't found the gun. We're told both men were critically injured.
"At this point, they did go into surgery so we're not able to talk to them to get their side of the story as well," Officer Brian said.
Now police are trying to find out who's responsible.
We tried to talk the owners here at Cloud Nine today, but no one has been here to talk with us about the shooting. Tonight the two men shot are still in the hospital, and anyone with any information on this crime is asked to call Longview Police.
Police have not arrested anyone for the shooting. We're told the two men shot remain hospitalized tonight in critical condition.
