TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler police are investigating an Friday morning assault in the city's Azalea District.

Police responded to the 400 block of West Houston Street shortly before 3:30 a.m. Friday in reference to an aggravated assault. According to media reports, officers found a 23-year-old man who had severe lacerations after he was attacked by a club or baton.

No arrests have been made. Police are looking for two black males suspected in the assault.

The victim was treated and released from an area hospital.
