LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Longview Police tell CBS 19 that a 20-year-old man named James Johnson was walking in the 300 block of W. Cotton St., when an unknown vehicle hit him.

Johnson was later found in HVE field across from the Longview police department between 12:00 and 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

The vehicle responsible will have significant damage to the right front headlight and may be completely broken out.

Johnson was taken to the Good Shepherd Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

At this point, Longview Police have no witnesses or suspect information.
