AUSTIN (KYTX) – The Texas Rangers and the Maverick County Sheriff's Office are trying to identify two homicide victims found near Eagle Pass on May 22, and a $5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for their deaths.

Authorities are asking for the public's help on both sides of the border in identifying the two male victims, who may be from Mexico.

The victims were discovered in an irrigation canal at FM 1588, which is also known as Thompson Road, north of Eagle Pass. Both men were shot in the head.

A Texas Ranger forensic artist composed post-mortem renderings of the victims to assist in the case.

The victim pictured wearing a black t-shirt was a Hispanic male between 19 and 22 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches in height, approximately 130 pounds, with wavy black hair and brown eyes. He had a barbed wire tattoo on his upper right arm and the letter "A" tattooed on his upper left arm. He also had a rubber wrist band inscribed with the words "Germany" and "Brazil."

The second victim pictured wearing a white t-shirt was a Hispanic male, between 17 and 19 years of age, about 6 feet tall, approximately 160 pounds, with short straight black hair, brown eyes and a mole on his left cheek near his ear. He was wearing a black string necklace with a small medal of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
