Judge revokes Gilmer man's probation, sentences him to prison

According to Upshur County DA's Office

GILMER (KYTX) - Upshur County District Attorney Billy Byrd announced sentences for nine defendants in 115th District Court.

Among them was a five-year prison sentence for 34-year-old Virgil D. Davis, whose probation was revoked after he pled true to allegations that he violated terms of his probation. Upshur County sheriff's deputies arrested David in October 2010 on a methamphetamine possession charge.

The sentences were assessed by District Judge Lauren Parish:

Melody Ann Hawthorne, 37, of Mineola, pled true in motion to revoke probation for possession of methamphetamine, 12 months in state jail

Daniel Allan Bacco, 37, of Holly Lake, pled true in motion to revoke probation for driving while intoxicated/subsequent offense, seven years in prison

Felisa Evett Jessie, 44, of Longview pled true in motion to revoke probation for forgery, 18 months in state jail

Carly Suzanne Thomas, 34, of Allen, pled true in motion to revoke probation for tampering with a governmental record, two years in state jail

Dramarcus Dewayne Spratling, 27, of Longview, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine, two years in state jail and $1,500 fine

Martin Gene Gilbert, 37, of Gilmer, pled guilty to forgery and credit card abuse, two years in state jail probated five years to be served concurrently and $2,000 in fines

Tommy Wayne West, 49, of Longview, pled guilty to driving while intoxicated/subsequent offense, five years in prison probated three years

Emily Lynn Defur, 27, of GIlmer, pled guilty to delivery of a controlled substance, two years in state jail probated four years and $1,000 fine
