SHREVEPORT (KTBS) - A Shreveport man was arrested for stealing his neighbor's cockatoo, which later showed up for sale on Craig's List, that's according to the Caddo Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say, Sunny, an umbrella cockatoo, was left in a cage on its owner's patio on Soda Point Drive July 15.

When the owner returned home two hours later, the $1500 bird was missing.
This past Saturday, the owner noticed an ad for a cockatoo on Craig's List.

She arranged a meeting with the seller, and contacted the Caddo Sheriff's Office.
At the meeting, authorities determined that the bird for sale was in fact the stolen cockatoo Sunny.

The seller told detectives he had purchased the bird for $300 from Elvis Robinson III.
Sheriff's Detective Michael Price arrested Robinson, 33, for felony theft and booked him into the Caddo Correctional Center.
