LONGVIEW (KYTX) - The Longview Metropolitan Planning Organization has scheduled a public meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. in the Council Chambers located in the Jo Ann Metcalf Municipal Building, 300 W. Cotton St.

MPO Board members will consider approval of the Limited English Proficiency Plan (LEP) which outlines procedures for MPO staff when contacting the public during the transportation planning process. The purpose of the LEP is to ensure accessibility to programs and services to persons who are not proficient in the English language. 

The Board will also review minor revisions to the Public Participation Plan (PPP). A 45-day public comment and review period for the PPP will be held August 8 – September 24. The MPO Policy Board is the top-level transportation planning committee providing both review and policy guidance for transportation planning in the Longview area.
