TYLER (KYTX) - Walking around Discovery Science in Tyler, it's easy to see that Cody enjoys learning.
This 14-year old is very smart, making straight A's. He's also articulate and talkative.
"I like to draw," Cody said. "I like to write sometimes, and mainly reading, I love reading."
While he likes being active, he'd prefer to be a spectator than a participant.
"No, I'm not a sports kind of guy, but I love watching baseball though. Baseball is awesome, Texas Rangers," he said.
Cody likes to spend time around people and is described as caring and considerate.
This teenager thrives on attention and is making great progress in dealing with his past.
Despite being discarded by his own family, he is optimistic about a successful future and wants to be a veterinarian, "because I love animals and I want to help them."
He would do best in a family willing to keep him involved in activities that promote his natural leadership ability, while helping to raise his self-esteem.
"I just want a family," he said. "It would be good to have a family that loves me and respects me and you know do fun stuff with them and get out of CPS, the position."
