UPDATE: Suspect identified in Gregg Co. foot chase

UPDATE: Kilgore Police Department

GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) -The suspect, later identified as Jason Ray Ragan, bailed out of the vehicle and ran into a wooded area at the U.S. Highway 259 and Hwy 31 exit.

Two Kilgore Patrol Shifts responded along with the Patrol Lieutenant. Ragan was quickly pinned in the wooded area after a perimeter was established. Jason Ragan eventually surrendered to police.

An ounce of Methamphetamine was recovered and Mr. Ragan was arrested by DPS. Kilgore K9 Officer Burns responded and searched the area for any additional narcotics or evidence.

 


 

Gregg County (KYTX) - One person is arrested following a foot chase in Gregg County. It happened around 7 this morning on Highway 31 and I-20.  Authorities have not released any other details about the chase or the arrest. We are following this story and will pass along any information as we get it.
