UPDATE: KILGORE (KYTX) - An update on Friday's deadly I-20 accident in Gregg County.

Trooper Jeanne Dark tells CBS 19 that the two-year-old taken to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport died Saturday.

Two-year-old Keldrick Gerrel King Jr. was not wearing a seatbelt when his parent's SUV rolled over after a tire blowout.

The child's mother, 22-year-old Lanay King, died at the scene.

The father, Keldrick King Sr., had minor injuries.

DPS is still investigating whether the father will face criminal charges since the child wasn't in a seatbelt.

The family is from Monroe, Louisiana.

Kilgore PD spokesman Roman Roberson issued the following statement:

"On Friday, 08-03-2012, at 2:46 p.m. Kilgore Police, Kilgore Fire Department and Kilgore Rescue responded to a one- vehicle roll over West bound, Interstate 20, just West of State Highway 42. Initial evidence on scene indicated a white Chevrolet Tahoe blew a tire which caused the vehicle to veer off the roadway and began to roll. The vehicle contained three occupants. One of the occupants, a three year old child, was ejected from the vehicle. Kilgore Officers rendered first aid to the child and a passenger, giving CPR and using the AED until the arrival of medical personnel. The child was air lifted to LSU Health, Shreveport, Louisiana. One occupant died on scene. The final occupant sustained minor injuries and was transported via ambulance to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Longview, Texas. Assistance was provided by the Gregg County Sheriff's Office and TxDOT. The crash is being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety."

Dispatchers are now reporting a separate two-vehicle wreck on Interstate 20 eastbound at exit 578 in Liberty City. No injuries are reported.
