Wildfire near Oklahoma City mostly contained

Posted: Updated:

CUSHING, OK (CNN) - The Cushing wildfire, burning north of Oklahoma City, has been contained.

Firefighters have been out overnight monitoring the remaining hot spots. No one was injured and no buildings were threatened by the blaze. We still don't know what caused the fire. A string of wildfires destroyed more than 93-thousand acres across Oklahoma since Friday.

Meanwhile, a wildfire near Oklahoma City has killed at least one person. The badly burned body was found inside a Cleveland County home, which burned to the ground.

The medical examiner's office expects it will be a few days before the victim is identified. The Cleveland County wildfire burned about 12 square miles, including several homes.
