6 suspected West Nile cases in Angelina County

ANGELINA COUNTY (KYTX) - Angelina County Health District has confirmed with CBS 19 that there are six suspected cases of West Nile in Angelina County.
 
Sharon Shaw with Angelina County Health District tells KYTX CBS 19 that two patients in their 30's and 4 patients over 50 have tested positive for the virus.
 
The patients have all been hospitalized and a few have been discharged.
 
Reportedly these are believed to be the first cases of West Nile in East Texas.
 
A Texas Department of Health and Human Services map of counties with suspected West Nile Virus cases are also in Henderson County.
