Attic fire at White Oak home displaces family

Posted: Updated:

WHITE OAK (KYTX) - Fire officials here tell us that a house fire that began in the structure's attic has forced a local family to an area hotel.

According to White Oak Police Department, the home is located in the 100 block of Archer Drive. That is about two blocks south of the intersection of U.S. 80 and White Oak Road. Officials describe the damaged structure as "not liveable."

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no other details were available. Officials say it "has been a while" since the city of White Oak has seen a fire gut a residence to this magnitude.
