Tyler ISD to host anti-bullying training

Released by TISD

TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler ISD administrators are hosting an anti-bullying training for the District's team of principals tomorrow.

The anti-bullying training is part of Tyler ISD's effort to make all of our campuses "Bully Free Zones" where students understand that bullying is not tolerated and will be reported.

During the training, principals will review the Tyler ISD policy on bullying and district procedures on how to handle various situations. Principals will receive an age-based electronic presentation on bullying that they will share with their teachers. Teachers will then share the presentation with their students after school starts. The presentation will explain what bullying is and how students should respond to it.

Tyler ISD provides a "No Bully Zone" link on each of its campus websites where students can report bullying. The form is completely anonymous and alerts campus administration of any bullying incidences. The District will also provide an anti-bullying presentation for parents in the fall.
