ORLEANS, NY (KYTX) - A Longview man involved in an accident Sunday morning in Orleans, New York has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
Reports from WWNY TV 7 say the accident left two people injured.
According to WWNY TV 7, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies said 24-year-old John Dixon was driving on State Route 12 early Sunday morning when his car went off the road after losing control in a curve, rolled over, and came to a stop on its top.
Both Dixon and his 24-year-old passenger Andrew Marquez was taken to local hospitals for treatment. According to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, N.Y., Dixon is listed in stable condition.
Jefferson County deputies tells WWNY TV 7 that alcohol and speed were factors contributing to the accident.
Reports say, Dixon was ticketed for driving while intoxicated, unsafe lane change, disobeying a traffic control device, and speed not reasonable and prudent.
