Lufkin man arrested for evading arrest

LUFKIN (KYTX) - An Lufkin Police Department officer saw Reginal Reggie walking in the 100 block of Kurth Drive and knew of an outstanding warrant for Reggie's arrest for the offense of Burglary.

The officer made contact with Reggie in the 200 block of Lofton Street but, when the officer attempted to take custody of him, Reggie pulled away from the officer and fled on foot.

Officers located Reggie hiding in a garage located in the 1500 block of Allen Drive and arrested him for Evading Arrest or Detention, a State Jail Felony due to Reggie's previous convictions for the offense, and six outstanding arrest warrants.

Warrants: LPD - Burglary of a Habitation, LPD - Interference w/ Emergency Call, Pardon and Parole Board warrant, Angelina County -Assault (Family Violence), Angelina County - Non-payment of Child Support, and Nacogdoches County - Failure to Appear original charge Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.
