UPDATE August 14, 2012: LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Bond has been set for LaKeisha Nicole Brown, 24, at $10,000 for each charge totaling $50,000.
Brown was arrested on four charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one charge of aggravated assault /family violence.
Brown is accused of driving her SUV into a carport filled with people after an argument with her boyfriend.
According to Longview police spokeswoman Kristie Brian, no one injured in the assault required transport to a hospital.
Brown remains in Gregg County Jail.
LONGVIEW (KYTX) - A Longview woman was jailed late Sunday after police said she drove an SUV into a carport filled with people.
At 11:46 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 1100 Block of Lorin Lane for an unknown problem. When officers arrived, they found five victims who told police that 24-year-old LaKeisha Nicole Brown and her boyfriend had gotten into a verbal altercation.
After the argument, Ms. Brown got into her Suburban and drove it into the carport where 5 people were sitting at a table playing dominoes. Brown's vehicle struck all five victims sitting in the carport, including Brown's boyfriend. Brown then struck a mailbox, knocking the mailbox into the street. Brown fled the scene prior to the police arriving at the home.
Police were able to locate Brown later in the 900 Block of South Fifteenth Street and she was arrested on four charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one charge of aggravated assault /family violence.
She was transported without incident to the Gregg County Jail, where she remains today without bail.
