The Robert E. Lee Red Raiders are gearing up for the 2012 football season. The team won one game in 2011 and with a new head coach this season, the Red Raiders say they plan on playing as a team, not as individuals. 

Head coach Darrell Piske says one of his biggest challenges this year will be teaching his team to conquer adversity.

Meanwhile, the John Tyler Lions are coming off a 2011 season that ended one game short of a state championship appearance. Players believe their new head coach, Ricklan Holmes, will take them there this season. 

Players and coaches are also depending on senior quarterback Greg Ward. He's coming off a 5,000 total yards season with 54 touchdowns.
