Bowling balls, ID information stolen in two early morning auto thefts

TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler police responded to two early morning auto burglaries in the city, according to online media reports.

Shortly before 8 a.m., police responded to the 1500 block of Augusta Avenue, where a 39-year-old resident told officers that his 2005 Chevy Impala was broken into and two bowling balls and stereo equipment were stolen.

At about 11:15 p.m., officers responded to Faulkner Park in the 400 block of West Cumberland Road, where a 25-year-old Jacksonville woman reported that someone broke in to her 2002 Chevy Tahoe. Taken was her purse and wallet containing cash, two Social Security cards, checkbooks, her driver's license and debit cards to three separate banks.

No arrests have been reported, according to police.
