CANTON (KYTX) - City management issues will dominate a called meeting of the Canton City Council at 5 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 290 E. Tyler St.
Council members are scheduled to take two executive sessions. The first session will be fore deliberations to discuss a resident's complaint against interim city manager Lonny Cluck. Council members will discuss a review of candidates for the city manager position in the second executive session.
Council members will reconvene in open session to consider action on items discussed in executive session and to discuss items for future meeting agendas.
The city is looking to replace Andy McCuistion, the former city manager who in April accepted a similar position in Breckenridge.
"The city council has hired a search firm to assist with the selection of a new city manager, and it is likely we will have over 50 applicants from which to choose," Canton Mayor Cary Hilliard said in a recent city newsletter.
