Posted: Updated:

COLLEGE STATION (KYTX) - People are finally being let back into their homes after the deadly shooting in College Station, but the investigation at the place where it happened is far from over. Police say the suspected shooter, Thomas Caffall shot and killed 2 people -- Constable Bryan Bachmann who was serving eviction papers --and an innocent bystander Chris Northcliff.

CBS19's Courtney Friedman spent the day in College Station Tuesday. She talked to neighbors who are still traumatized by the events. 51 year old Barbara Holdsworth from Houston was shot in the shoulder on Monday. She's still in critical condition. Family friends say she's been in and out of surgeries for a damaged lung. The other person who survived being shot is 25 year old College Station police officer Justin Oehlke. He was shot in calf doing fine

Two other officers injured by gun shrapnel are Brad Smith and Phil Dorset.
