Police: Teens jailed for beating man in Nacogdoches break-in

NACOGDOCHES (KYTX) - Police say four teens broke into a Nacogdoches dwelling and beat a man before taking his wallet.

According to Nacogdoches public information, police responded to a residence in the 600 block of Hayward Street on a burglary in progress call. Officers located the suspects leaving the scene and held them until making contact with the victim.

The victim told police that the suspects forced entry into his residence, assaulted him and stole his wallet. Entry was made through a door on the south side of the residence, records showed.

Arrested were 20-year-old Deandre Dontell Wade, 18-year-old Kelwendrick Davis, 17-year-old Luis Perez and 17-year-old Adolfo Venegas, all of Nacogdoches. The face charges of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another crime, a first-degree felony punishable by up to life in prison.
