(KYTX) - Thousands gathered this afternoon on the Texas A&M University campus to say goodbye to the constable killed in Monday's deadly shooting.
Law enforcement officers from across the country paid their respects to Brian Bachmann's family.
Bachmann was fatally shot Monday by Thomas Caffall.
The 41-year-old constable was trying to serve a court summons to Caffall for being two months behind on rent.
A bystander checking some property was also killed before other officers fatally shot Caffall.
His family has said he was suffering from an unspecified mental illness.
Three police officers and a female bystander were also wounded.
