(KYTX) - A 62-year-old woman is making her fourth attempt to swim 100 miles in shark infested waters from Cuba to the Florida Keys.

This isn't Diana Nyad's first attempt, she failed once in 1978 and gave it two more goes last summer in the dangerous waters.

She's already been stung by jelly-fish on her neck, lips, hand and forehead.

Friends say it maybe crazy, but it's also inspirational.

If all goes well she could reach the Florida Keys by Tuesday.

This could by Nyad's last attempt.
