(KCEN) -- The trial for accused Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan will not begin today.

This is after the case was put on hold last week until further notice.

Fort Hood officials say all court proceedings will be postponed until a resolution regarding Hasan's unshaven beard can be reached.

The beard violates Army regulations.

Hasan has been held in contempt of court five times for refusing to shave.

When the stay is lifted, a new court date will be set.
