LONGVIEW (KYTX) - A 32-year-old Dallas man remains jailed on $10,000 bond, charged with possession of nearly 60 grams of cocaine.
At 3:46 a.m. Saturday, Longview police responded to a suspicious person call in the 700 block of Swancy Street, after a complainant said a woman had exited a Ford Taurus and walking on his property. When the complainant contacted the woman, she said she was an escort from Dallas and was told to wait at that location, according to arrest reports.
Officers noticed the Taurus traveling west on Swancy Street and initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle, making contact with the woman driving the car and a male front seat passenger identified as Kenneth Dywane Tanniehill. Officers also noticed a "strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle," reports stated.
During a probable cause search of the vehicle, officers found a black plastic bag underneath the passenger seat that contained two clear bags of cocaine measuring 58.5 grams, reports stated.
Tanniehill was transported to the Gregg County Jail, charged with second degree possession of between four grams and 200 grams of a controlled substance.
