(CBS) - Missouri congressman Todd Akin has until five o'clock this evening to decide whether he's going to stay in the race for the US Senate. After that, it becomes much harder for Republicans to replace Akin's name on the ballot.

Akin is getting pressured to drop out by many politicians, even Republicans because of comments he made about rape victims being able to reject getting pregnant. But the congressman says he is staying until the end. He told Mike Huckabee that he's not the first politician to suffer from what he called "foot-in-mouth disease."
